WELD

Weld (Industrial Holding Group) is a manufacturing and metalworking company based in Daugavpils that joined the Latgale Special Economic Zone on 18 March 2024.

The core business activity of Weld is the production of metal parts and structures of varying levels of complexity, offering clients a full-cycle service—from engineering design to final product quality control. It should be noted that the company’s main clients are Western European mechanical engineering companies.

In 2019, Weld acquired a degraded building in Daugavpils that had previously housed the city’s largest chemical fibre factory. Over recent years, the company has renovated and upgraded the facility, which now accommodates a modern and sustainable metalworking production plant. As a result, not only has a degraded urban area been revitalised, but an environmentally friendly “green” building has been created. Thanks to a solar panel park installed on the roof, the production facility operates without additional external energy consumption, as it is fully supplied by self-generated renewable electricity.
